The staff team have a holistic approach focusing on continuation of quality of life through out individual assessment, care plan and activities.

Murravale Aged Care Facility is a residence for older people who are unable to remain in their own home and require some assistance with daily living.

Murrurundi Retirement Homes Association Inc. was originally formed as a community based organisation in 1977, with the aim of providing accommodation for older people in Murrurundi and the Upper Hunter Shire Council.

Murravale Aged Care Facility opened on the 23rd of August 1993 with 15 beds and then was extended with an additional 10 beds which was officially opened on the 4th of March 2005 by the Hon. John Anderson MP.

Murravale Aged Care Facility has 25 single units with ensuites in each, it is also able to provide for couples with 6 sets of adjoining units with in room connecting doors.

There are 24 rooms for permanent residents and 1 room for Respite Care.

Care Staff are on duty 24hours a day, we also provide help with room cleaning and assistance with showering, bathing, dressing and grooming.

Meals are prepared and served on site with Residents having a choice of menus.

We have an Activities Officer on Monday, Wednesdays and Fridays for group activities or on an idividual basis. We celebrate all Birthdays, Holidays, and special days such as Anzac Day and St Patricks Day.

Church Services are held regularly and members of the Community are welcome to come along and join in these services.

Murravale Aged Care Facility is also able to offer Community Aged Care Packages (CACP) in your own home.

Murravale Aged Care Facility has received continuing support from the community since this time.
